The Tenerife Cabildo has announced upcoming traffic diversions on the TF-65 road in Las Chafiras due the first phase of construction of the third lane on the TF-1 motorway, which affects the section between San Isidro and Las Americas, including the new Oroteanda to Las Chafiras junction.
According to the Department of Roads, the changes are necessary to carry out initial earthworks for the new access ramps leading to the Chafiras overpass at kilometre 62 +314m.
Consequently, the right-hand lane of the TF-65 heading towards San Miguel will be temporarily closed. This closure extends from the El Camello roundabout (new junction) to the northern roundabout of the Chafiras junction.
Start Date and Time: Monday, June 3rd, at 7:30am.
Initial Work: Installation of horizontal and vertical signage and barriers.
Subsequent Work: Introduction of machinery for earthworks
This phase of construction work is expected to last two weeks, with an anticipated completion date of June 17th at 6:00pm, when normal traffic conditions should resume.
Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and anticipate possible delays during this period. The Tenerife Cabildo appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation as they work to improve the island's road infrastructure.
