A 28-year-old woman was killed this afternoon (Saturday) after losing control of the jet ski she was riding and crashing into the rocks of a breakwater in the Anfi del Mar area of Gran Canaria.
According to information provided by the Emergency and Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), once on the scene, SUC medical personnel confirmed that the victim had suffered very serious injuries and was in cardiac arrest.
Therefore, cardiopulmonary resuscitation manoeuvres were performed, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful, and ultimately her death was confirmed.
Meanwhile, the Guardia Civil and the Local Police conducted the corresponding proceedings and collaborated with the rest of the emergency resources. Her body was taken by coroners for official identification and an autopsy.
