An accident between a bus and two cars on the FV-2 highway in Fuerteventura has left 27 people injured, 7 of whom are minors, and 3 seriously hurt after an initial assessment by SUC medical personnel.
The incident occurred in the town of Tuineje earlier this afternoon (Friday) due to a head-on collision between a van, a car, and a 55-seater bus.
According to the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES), as a result of the accident, the FV-2 near the Giniginamar junction has been closed to traffic while the fire brigade secured the vehicles involved, paramedics treated the injured, and the police directed the traffic and start an investigation into the cause of the accident.
