High temperatures and cloudy conditions are expected to dominate across the Canary Islands today, Tuesday, according to the latest forecast from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
A mix of cloudy skies and occasional clear spells will prevail throughout the day. At sea, northeasterly winds will range from force 4 to 6, easing to force 3 near the northeastern coasts.
Moderate to rough seas are expected, with a northerly or northeasterly swell of 1 to 2 metres in northern areas. Western coastal waters will see light variable winds and calm to slightly choppy conditions.
Island-by-Island Forecast for Tuesday:
LANZAROTE
Cloudy intervals are expected in the north and west, with more persistent cloud cover in the early morning and late evening. Elsewhere on the island, skies will be mostly cloudy overnight, clearing as the day progresses. Moderate northerly winds may strengthen inland later in the day.
Expected temperature range: 19°C to 26°C.
FUERTEVENTURA
Similar conditions to Lanzarote with cloudier skies in the north and west during the early and late hours. Elsewhere, expect overnight cloudiness giving way to clearer skies later. Moderate northerly winds, strengthening in the southern Jandía peninsula during the afternoon.
Expected temperature range: 19°C to 27°C.
GRAN CANARIA
Northern areas will remain mostly cloudy overnight, with increasing sunshine as the day goes on. The rest of the island will see mostly clear skies. Temperatures will hold steady. Expect moderate northeasterly winds, becoming strong in southeastern and northwestern slopes, where strong gusts are possible towards the end of the day.

TENERIFE
Cloudy conditions in the northeast will gradually clear during the day. Other regions will see largely clear skies, though the northern coast and southern areas may experience brief cloudy spells overnight. No significant temperature changes are expected, aside from a slight rise in maximums in the southeast. Moderate northeasterly winds will strengthen in the southeast, northwest tip, and the southeastern edge of the metropolitan area, with a chance of strong gusts later in the day.
