Cayuco with 47 people on board located south of Tenerife
A commercial fishing boat has spotted a cayuco with 47 people on board approximately 67 kilometres south of Tenerife, according to a Maritime Rescue press release.
They have sent the Salvamar Alborán rescue boat to its aid, which will transfer the occupants to the port of Los Cristianos, either by towing it or bringing the passengers aboard, depending on what is considered safest for their situation.
Maritime Rescue has an alert open this week about the departure of a boat with 47 people on board, which left for the Canary Islands last Saturday from the coast of Nouakchott (Mauritania).
