Covid update: 4th day no deaths, 4th day daily cases increase in number

Today’s data from the Ministry of Health shows that today is the 4th day in a row that there are no Covid deaths in the Canary Islands, but also the 4th day that the number of daily cases has increased from 42 on Saturday, 55 on Sunday, 57 yesterday, and now 69 today.

There are only new cases in the four main islands with 33 in Gran Canaria, 26 in Tenerife, 7 in Lanzarote, and 3 in Fuerteventura, and active cases and hospitalizations have stayed all but the same. However, although incidence rates have only increased slightly over both 7 and 14 days, they are creeping up more in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, and test positivity rates are up also.
