Covid update: 77 new cases today the lowest daily number since June 6th

The Ministry of Health has notified of just 77 new positives for Covid in the Canary Islands today and one death on the island of Tenerife. According to their data, this is the lowest number of new daily infections since last June 6th this year.

By islands, Gran Canaria has the most where 36 new cases have been recorded, whilst in Tenerife there are just 20, 19 in Fuerteventura, 1 in Lanzarote, 1 in La Palma, and no new cases in La Gomera or El Hierro.

Active cases now stand at 6,076 with 305 people in wards, 53 in ICU, and 5,771 in home isolation. The Accumulated Incidence rate over seven days now stands at 33.69 and over fourteen days at 79.96 per 100,000 inhabitants as the data continues its downward trend and leads the Canary Islands in the right direction to normality and economic recovery.
