The meeting held this afternoon between the Canary Islands Government, the Cabildo, the Canarian Health Service, and representatives of the hospitality sector to formulate a long term agreement to prevent interiors of their establishments being closed in alert Level 3 during the coronavirus pandemic, have reached a provisional agreement that will need to be authorised by the Governing Council tomorrow.
In the agreement, premises will be able to open their interiors up to a capacity of 40% with all distancing rules in place, with a maximum of 4 people per table. However, if everyone booking to use the interior can present a full vaccination certificate, this may increase to 50% with 6 per table.
Terrace use is not affected by this and will stay at 75% of capacity with tables of 6, and closing time will continue to be at midnight.
