TUI Cruises to base its two new luxury ships in the Canary Islands

TUI Cruises, a joint venture between TUI Group and Royal Caribbean, has unveiled its scheduled routes for the winter of 2025/26, which shows that the cruise line has decided to designate its most modern ships to the Canary Islands.

The youngest members of the fleet, Mein Schiff 7 and Mein Schiff Relax, will have their home port in the archipelago. The Mein Schiff Relax will offer a seven-day route exploring the Canary Islands with alternating departures from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria or Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Meanwhile, Mein Schiff 7 will embark on various seven-day routes from the Spanish destination to Madeira (Portugal), Morocco, or Cape Verde.

These two new ships are currently being built in the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, and it is already clear that they will take the Mein Schiff brand to a new level. They will have a capacity of almost 4,000 passengers each with 14 restaurants and bistros, and 17 bars and lounges on board.

During the upcoming winter, Mein Schiff 1 and 2 will cruise in Central America and the Caribbean, while Mein Schiff 3 will focus on Scandinavia. The ships numbered 4, 5, and 6 will navigate in the Middle East and Asia.
