SATURDAY WEATHER: Cloudier skies and a drop in temperatures across the Canaries
The Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) are forecasting cloudy skies for the north of the Canary Islands today, Saturday, with sunny spells elsewhere and some high cloud over the central islands later in the day. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged, although a slight drop is possible, accompanied by moderate north-easterly winds.
Winds may occasionally strengthen in the south-eastern and north-western extremes of the central islands during the afternoon. On higher ground, winds will be light and from the north, while gentle breezes are expected along the south-western coasts of the mountainous islands.
At sea, northerly and north-easterly winds of force 4 or 5 are forecast, locally reaching force 6, with moderate to rough seas. Elsewhere, winds will vary between force 1 and 3 with slight seas. A north-westerly swell is expected, bringing waves of between 1 and 2 metres.

Cloudy in the north, with intervals elsewhere becoming clearer during the day. Temperatures steady. Moderate northerly winds.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Cloudy in the north in the morning, clearing later with some intervals in the afternoon. Mostly clear elsewhere. Moderate north-easterly winds.
Expected temperature range: High of 25°C and a low of 20°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
Cloudy in the north with sunny breaks during the day; clearer in the south and with some high cloud in the afternoon. Temperatures stable or slightly lower. Moderate north-easterly winds, occasionally strong in the south-east and north-west later in the day. Light winds on the summits and breezes on the south-west coast.
Expected temperature range: High of 25°C and a low of 22°C.
TENERIFE:
Cloudy in the north, clearing during daylight hours. Elsewhere mainly clear, with some cloud in the west and high cloud during the afternoon. Temperatures stable or slightly lower. Moderate north-easterly winds, occasionally strong in the far south-east later in the day. Light winds on the peaks and breezes on the south-west coast.
