Meliá Hotels are in the final stages of completing construction to open its second Innside by Meliá establishment in the Canary Islands, following the one in Fuerteventura, and marking its inaugural presence in Tenerife.
The hotel chain will also make its debut in Tenerife in the capital, Santa Cruz, where it has not opened any hotels before. This new urban venture will expand its portfolio on the island to a total of 11 hotels.
The Innside Tenerife is situated at 3 El Pilar Street in Santa Cruz, one of the main thoroughfares of the city, occupying the space formerly used by the commercial area of Galerías Preciados and later El Corte Inglés. The nine-story building features 83 rooms, a small gym, an infinity pool with panoramic views of the entire city, and three dining options.
The director of the new establishment, Victoria Palau, has revealed that the building will house a street-level restaurant offering modern and creative Latin American fusion cuisine, a terrace space for snacks and cocktails, and a ground-floor area featuring live jazz music.
During a visit to the property on Monday, the Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, commented, "It's good news that the city will have more hotel accommodations."
The Innside Tenerife Santa Cruz is expected to be operational before the year's end, adding a new dimension to Meliá Hotels International's presence in the vibrant tourism landscape of the Canary Islands.
