The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife welcomed the luxury cruise ship Explora I yesterday (Tuesday) for the first time. Operated by Explora Journeys, the premium brand of MSC Group, this elegant vessel is 248 metres in length, can host up to 900 guests, supported by a crew of 646.
The Explora I has 461 suites, each spanning 42 square metres, delivering comfort and privacy. Across its 10,240 square metres of private spaces and 16,000 square metres of shared areas, guests can enjoy five pools, including one with a retractable glass roof, and four outdoor pools surrounded by 64 private Balinese beds.
The culinary offerings are equally impressive, featuring six restaurants and 11 unique dining experiences, including the Michelin-starred Anthology. Guests can also unwind at any of the 12 bars and lounges, which are located both indoors and outdoors. For those who prefer dining in the comfort of their suites, round-the-clock room service is available.
Experiencing Tenerife’s Wonders
During their stop in Tenerife, passengers explored the island. Excursions included visits to the Teide National Park, wine tastings at local vineyards, and off-road adventures through La Esperanza Forest and the Ucanca Valley.
Radazul's coastline provided kayaking excursions, allowing travellers to marvel at volcanic landscapes from the sea, while local dishes like papas con mojo showcased the island’s rich culinary heritage.

An experience aboard the Explora I comes with a price tag reflecting its luxury, ranging from €3,575 to €4,950 per person, depending on the itinerary.
