The Canary Islands are set for another largely sunny Saturday, with mostly clear skies, warm temperatures and strengthening north-easterly winds, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

Temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged across the archipelago, although slightly lower daytime highs are forecast in northern mid-altitude areas of Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Winds from the north-east will become stronger during the afternoon, particularly in exposed coastal areas.

Sea Conditions

At sea, north to north-easterly winds of Force 3 to 5 are expected, producing slight to moderate seas, with a north-westerly or westerly swell of around one metre.

Overall, Saturday looks set to provide favourable conditions for beachgoers, outdoor activities and sightseeing across the islands, with only a slight chance of isolated light showers in parts of the higher western islands.

Tenerife
Tenerife will see intervals of cloud, especially across the north, with a slight chance of light, isolated showers over the midlands. Elsewhere, conditions will remain mostly dry with sunny spells.

North-easterly winds will be strongest along the east coast and the far north-west. Lighter sea breezes are expected on the west coast.
General temperature range: High of 29°C and low of 21°C.

Gran Canaria
Cloud is expected across northern parts of the island during the morning, with a small chance of light showers in inland areas before brighter conditions develop later in the day.

The south and west will remain mostly sunny. Occasionally strong north-easterly winds affecting the south-east and north-west.
General temperature range: High of 27°C and low of 22°C.

Lanzarote
Lanzarote will enjoy another mainly sunny day, although some early morning cloud may linger over northern and western areas before clearing. Light north-easterly winds overnight will strengthen during the day.
General temperature range: High of 28°C and low of 21°C.

Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura will also experience predominantly sunny conditions, with a few morning clouds possible in the north and west. Some cloud may also develop along the east coast later in the evening. North-easterly winds becoming fresher as the day progresses. Temperatures will change little, although the south-east could see slightly warmer afternoon highs.
General temperature range: High of 27°C and low of 20°C.
