Clear skies, rising temperatures and lighter mornings now the clocks have gone back
The Canary Islands are set to enjoy mostly clear skies and slightly warmer weather this Sunday, with lighter mornings now that the clocks have gone back, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). Light and variable winds will prevail across the archipelago, with calm seas and mild conditions.
Daytime temperatures will rise slightly, reaching highs of 28°C in Tenerife (with a low of 22°C) and 26°C in Gran Canaria (with a low of 21°C).
Sea conditions will be generally calm, with variable winds of force 1 to 3, slight to smooth seas, and a northwesterly swell of between 1 and 2 metres in some areas.

Mostly clear skies with some morning cloud, becoming cloudier in the east around midday. Slight cooling along southern coasts. Light variable winds, mainly coastal breezes.

FUERTEVENTURA:
Mostly sunny with some afternoon cloud development. Temperatures steady or slightly lower on eastern coasts. Light variable winds with coastal breezes.
Expected temperature range: Low of 21°C and a high of 25°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
Clear skies overall, with some high clouds and afternoon cloud build-up in the south. Temperatures stable on coasts, slightly higher in mid-altitude and mountain areas. Light variable winds and coastal breezes.
Expected temperature range: Low of 21°C and a high of 26°C.
TENERIFE:
Intermittent cloud cover with medium and high clouds throughout the day. Low clouds possible in the west and south, and afternoon cloud development inland. Slight temperature rise inland and in higher areas. Light variable winds with coastal breezes; moderate to strong westerly winds expected later on mountain summits.
Expected temperature range: Low of 22°C and a high of 28°C.
