A downpour causes several incidents in the south of Tenerife, especially in Arona
A downpour earlier this afternoon in the centre of Palm-Mar, in the municipality of Arona in the south of Tenerife, caused various incidents that forced the Fire Department, Local Police, and Civil Protection to be activated by CECOES.
The greatest damage was recorded in the underground car park of a complex, which was completely flooded affecting an undetermined number of vehicles, and the fire brigade have been using pumps to bail out the water.
Since then, the weather has improved and by 3pm the rain had stopped, it left flooded streets and damage to numerous vehicles parked on the road, in addition to those in the underground garage, which were practically covered by the water.
