30°C temperatures this Saturday across the Canary Islands
The Canary Islands are set to have a warm weekend this weekend, with temperatures exceeding 30°C in several areas today, Saturday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).
Mostly clear skies are expected throughout the archipelago, with only some early morning cloud cover in parts of the islands. Winds will blow mainly from the northeast, occasionally reaching strong gusts in exposed coastal and mountainous areas.

In Canarian waters, easterly to northeasterly winds of force 3 to 4 are expected, with slight to moderate seas and a north-westerly swell around one metre.
Forecast for each of the islands:
LANZAROTE:
Partly cloudy in the north and east, otherwise clear. Minimum temperatures will remain stable or rise slightly, while maximums may drop slightly in the north. Northeasterly winds will be moderate, becoming strong inland during the afternoon.
General temperature range: High of 30°C and low of 22°C.
FUERTEVENTURA:
Cloudier in the east early on, becoming mostly clear later. Temperatures will remain steady, with highs reaching 30°C in some inland areas. Moderate northeast winds, occasionally strong in the south of Jandía during the afternoon.
General temperature range: High of 28°C and low of 22°C.
GRAN CANARIA:
Partly cloudy in the north below 800–900 metres, clearing later in the day. Mostly sunny elsewhere, with morning cloud possible in the south. Temperatures rising slightly in southern areas and dipping slightly in the north.
Highs could reach 32°C in mid-altitude areas of the southeast, south, and west. Moderate northeasterly winds, strong at times in the southeast and northwest, with possible very strong gusts in the afternoon. Light sea breezes in the southwest.
General temperature range: High of 27°C and low of 21°C.
TENERIFE:
Partly cloudy in the north and northeast below 900–1,000 metres, clearing in the afternoon. Mostly sunny elsewhere, with some high clouds later in the day. Temperatures will remain steady or rise slightly in low-lying areas, and rise moderately in the highlands.
Moderate northeasterly winds, locally strong in the southeast and west, with light breezes on the western coast. In central peaks, moderate southerly winds turning westerly.
General temperature range: High of 29°C and low of 22°C.
