The Pájara Council has approved works totalling over 26 million euros for projects led by Meliá Hotel, Banca March, and R2 in Costa Calma on the southeast coast of Fuerteventura.
Specifically, they will invest 20 million euros in the renovation of Hotel Los Gorriones, and 6 million euros to construct a Beach Club and a new sports and leisure area in Costa Calma.
Alexis Alonso, the Councillor for Works and Urban Planning, highlighted that this decision reflects the "great work" being done by the technical department to advance key projects for the municipality, adding "This improvement will create over 150 direct jobs and triple the accommodation for staff.”
Mayor Alejandro Jorge said that this investment will not only boost Pájara's competitiveness as a tourist destination, but will also generate employment and enhance the well-being of the community.
