Shakira filming new music video at Abama and Siam Park in Tenerife

Global superstar Shakira is currently in Tenerife as she has chosen the island as the set for her latest music video. News of the Colombian singer’s visit has been kept as quiet as possible by Siam Park, the 5 star hotel, and her representatives, so they could continue with the filming easily and quickly.

She has been recording in different locations on the island, and yesterday was at Siam Park on the various water attractions, where they say she even dared to surf the largest artificial wave in the world, although, as is normal in these cases, nobody from the water park wants to confirm this, possibly due a confidentiality agreement.

The Colombian artist arrived on the island accompanied by her husband, Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué, and her two sons Milan and Sasha, staying in a villa at the Abama hotel, on whose beach she also plans to do some recording, of which hardly any details are known, beyond how important it could be to help promote tourism on the island.

Turismo de Tenerife has not missed the opportunity to be present at the video shoot and, thanks to a small collaboration, will appear in the credits of the video clip, which is seen as invaluable promotion for the Island.

In addition, Shakira's visit is related to a promotional event for Siam Park, voted the best water park in the world by users of Trip Advisor for the last seven years as. In it, the singer will be seen showing her skills as a surfer, which, without a doubt, will help promote the excellent leisure offer that Tenerife can boast of, especially now that this prestigious facility has reopened after being closed for 14 months due to the pandemic. The park was closed to the public during her visit as it has only been open on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays since opening, but they have just announced that it will now be open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from this week too.

This is not the first time that Shakira has visited Tenerife, she concluded her Oral Fixation Tour at the CD Tenerife football stadium in Santa Cruz in July 2006, and in 2014 her and her husband bought a cliff top mansion surrounded by banana plantations in El Rincón in the Orotava Valley with a helipad, which they enjoyed several family holidays in before selling it recently.
