Man's body found on coast of Las Galletas in south Tenerife

The body of a man has been found on the coast at Las Galletas in Arona, South Tenerife, prompting an investigation by the Guardia Civil. Emergency services were alerted to the discovery at around 1.30pm on Sunday, after the body was located in a coastal area close to the town.

Emergency personnel and police resources were mobilised to the scene following the alert. The Guardia Civil subsequently took responsibility for the corresponding investigation and proceedings surrounding the discovery.

At this stage, no official information has been released confirming the man's identity or the circumstances surrounding his death.

There has also been no confirmed cause of death, and authorities have not established publicly whether the man's death was the result of an accident, drowning or any other cause.

Las Galletas is a busy coastal town in the municipality of Arona in southern Tenerife, with a harbour, promenade and beaches used by residents and visitors.
