World’s biggest inflatable park opens in Gran Canaria

The world’s largest inflatable park has opened in Gran Canaria, bringing a new family-friendly attraction to the island just in time for the summer holidays.

It has been set up in the commercial park of La Mareta, in the town of Telde.

The inflatable playground covers more than 4,000 square metres and features ten different obstacle zones. The attraction is open-air and designed for all ages, with organisers saying it caters to everyone "from 0 to 99 years old".

The park is operated by the US-based company FunBox, which is working in partnership with the Spanish leisure group "Productores de Sonrisas" or “Producers of Smiles.” It marks the first time the concept has been brought to the Canary Islands.

Each ticket grants access to an 80-minute session, with space for more than 450 people at a time to jump, slide, and bounce their way through the inflatable maze.

Telde’s mayor, Juan Antonio Peña, visited the site and welcomed the park as a boost for the city. “It’s fantastic to see FunBox choose Telde to launch this kind of fun, family-focused attraction,” he said. “We invite not only residents, but visitors from across Gran Canaria and the other islands to come and enjoy it.”

The park is open until 19th July, with demand expected to be high during the summer season.
