Woman runover whilst standing on the hard shoulder of the TF-1 near Los Cristianos
A woman has been injured after being hit by a car on the TF-1 motorway near the Los Cristianos exit on the northbound carriageway, whilst she was standing next to a vehicle on the hard shoulder.
According to the Canary Islands Emergency Services, the incident occurred shortly after 6:30am yesterday, Tuesday, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert reporting that a woman needed urgent help after being runover whilst standing next to her car which had broken down.
Emergency SUC medical personnel attended the scene and treated the woman, who was found to have suffered a leg injury. Once stabilised, they took her to Hospital del Sur by ambulance for further treatment.
The Guardia Civil has opened an investigation and taken the necessary statements to clarify the circumstances surrounding the accident.
