Woman fighting for life after being hit by a car in Los Cristianos
A woman has been left in a critical condition following a serious accident this Wednesday morning in the south of Tenerife. The incident occurred at 8:48am on Calle Finlandia, in Los Cristianos.
According to reports, the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an urgent alert reporting that a pedestrian had been run over by a car.
SUC medical personnel were the first to arrive and immediately assessed the woman and found she had suffered a severe head injury. They stabilised her before transferring her in a fully equipped ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria in Santa Cruz for urgent treatment.
The Arona Local Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, which has been described as involving multiple vehicles.
