VIDEO: See the evolution of the fire and which roads are closed
One of the main reasons people coming on holiday are concerned about the fire affecting them, is they aren’t fully aware of where it is. This video shows you the location of the fire, where it started, and how it has grown to the area it covers now.
Also, there are several roads closed leading up to the pine forests, and the Teide National Park, which you can see here too.
At this stage, there is no indication when these will reopen as it depends on the evolution of the fire and the areas affected, but once it is under control it will be days rather than weeks or months for areas that don’t have active fire.
