The tradition of enjoying churros with hot chocolate has found one of its most beloved spots in the north of Tenerife. La Placita de Abajo, a classic churrería in Tacoronte, has launched a new promotion that’s proving hard to resist: unlimited churros, hot drinks, mini sandwiches and homemade desserts for just €9.90 for two people.
The offer is available through Bonos Premium, a platform that works with small local businesses to create affordable food experiences across the island. Located on the main road from Tacoronte to Tejina (No. 135), the café stays true to the spirit of traditional churrerías, combining old-fashioned flavours with good value.
Its opening hours are Monday to Sunday, 6:45 to 14:00 and 16:45 to 20:30, which makes it a perfect stop for an early breakfast or an afternoon treat.
The promotion includes unlimited churros made with clean, light frying to avoid excess oil, two hot drinks of your choice, and their famous “pulguitas de pata” sandwiches with green or red pepper, a local favourite among regulars.
One of the highlights of the menu is the variety of hot chocolates. Alongside the classic version, customers can try flavours such as mint or hazelnut. Bonos Premium praised the café’s excellent value for money, highlighting the crisp texture of the churros and the quality of the oil. “When you finish your plate, there’s barely any grease left, which shows the product is really well made,” they said.
The voucher is valid for two people and can be purchased directly through the Bonos Premium website. After buying, customers receive a digital ticket immediately and can book a date and time to enjoy their visit.
