British reggae legend Ali Campbell, the ex-lead singer of UB40, is heading to the Canary Islands for two highly anticipated concerts at the end of this month, giving fans the chance to experience more than four decades of timeless hits live on stage.

He will perform at the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas on Friday, 31st July, before crossing to Tenerife for an outdoor show at the Palmetum in Santa Cruz on Saturday, 1^st August. Both concerts form part of this 2026 European tour.

Formed in Birmingham in 1978, UB40 became one of Britain's most successful reggae bands, blending reggae, pop and soul into a sound that has sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

Named after the UK unemployment benefit form of the same name, the group rose to fame with socially conscious songs before becoming global chart-toppers with classics including Red Red Wine, Kingston Town, (I Can't Help) Falling in Love With You, Food for Thought, One in Ten, and Cherry Oh Baby.

The current touring line-up, fronted by Ali Campbell with an all-new band of session musicians, continues to perform the band's much-loved catalogue, delivering the unmistakable reggae rhythms and feel-good atmosphere that have made UB40 a favourite with audiences across generations.

Two Nights of Classic Hits

The Canary Islands concerts promise an evening packed with their biggest hits, alongside fan favourites from their extensive back catalogue.

The first performance takes place on Friday, July 31st, at the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas, with the show beginning at 9.00pm.

The following evening, Saturday, August 1st, they will perform in the unique setting of the Palmetum in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the concert scheduled to begin at 6.30pm. The botanical gardens overlooking the Atlantic provide one of the island's most distinctive outdoor concert venues and are expected to offer a memorable backdrop for the band's return to Tenerife.
