Three suspects to appear in court on Thursday over death of British Tourist in Los Cristianos

The three men arrested in connection with the death of an elderly British tourist in the south of Tenerife are due to appear in court before a judge tomorrow (Thursday), according to police sources.
The suspects were detained by the National Police on Monday following the death of an 88-year-old British man who had been critically injured during a violent assault and robbery in Los Cristianos.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet released further details regarding the charges the suspects may face.
Tourist Died After Hospital Treatment
According to reports, the victim was attacked on the evening of 17th June while walking with his 79-year-old wife near the Victoria Court 2 holiday complex in Los Cristianos. During the alleged robbery, a struggle took place and the man fell to the ground, suffering serious injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene and transported him to hospital, where he remained in critical condition for several days.
Despite medical efforts, he sadly passed away as a result of his injuries.
Investigation Continues
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident and have not yet disclosed whether additional arrests are expected, and have urged the public not to speculate while judicial proceedings are ongoing.
The incident has caused concern among residents and visitors in Los Cristianos, one of Tenerife’s most popular tourist destinations.
