Three people were taken to hospital last night (Friday) after a collision between two cars on the TF-1 motorway in Arico, Tenerife. The crash happened just before midnight as the vehicles were travelling along the southbound section of the motorway.
Emergency teams from 112 Canarias were called to the roadside, where they found the drivers and passengers with varying degrees of injury. The most seriously hurt was a man who suffered a moderate head injury. He was stabilised before being transferred by ambulance to Hospital de La Candelaria in Santa Cruz.
The other two people involved were a 33-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman who both sustained minor contusions. Both were taken to Hospital del Sur for further assessment.
Officers are continuing their investigation to establish how the crash occurred and whether any further action is required.
The TF-1 has already seen a troubling number of serious incidents in 2025. In October, a 57-year-old road-maintenance worker was fatally struck near Fañabé in Adeje while on duty. Earlier in November, a car overturned on the TF-1 in Arona around 4:30 am, injuring two men aged 36 and 50, one of whom suffered a head injury.
