Three people were injured on Friday afternoon following an accident between a car and a motorbike on the TF-21 road inside Teide National Park.
According to Emergency Service Coordination Centre (CECOES), the crash occurred at around 3:35pm, and following the impact, the car reportedly veered off the road, overturned, and plunged approximately 15 metres down a steep embankment.
Cruz Roja personnel on scene provided immediate first aid to the injured until ambulance crews arrived, and firefighters secured the vehicle after the fall to prevent any further risk.
The injured include two men aged 54 and 69, and a 66-year-old woman. All three suffered multiple trauma injuries and were taken by ambulance to Hospital Quirón Tenerife for further treatment.
The Guardia Civil managed traffic in the area and have opened an investigation into the cause of the accident.
Drivers using the TF-21, especially through the higher sections of Teide National Park, are reminded to take extra care due to winding mountain routes and variable weather conditions.
