Three arrested for armed robbery of a petrol station in El Medano valued at €17,000

The Guardia Civil have arrested three men who are charged with armed robbery of a petrol station in El Medano in the south of Tenerife to the value of 17,000 euros. After threatening and being violent towards staff with weapons, the trio stole a safe containing various valuables, including lottery tickets and cash.

Following the incident, a quick response from the Guardia Civil led to an investigation, and with the help of eyewitness accounts, citizen collaboration, and the meticulous gathering of evidence, officers were able to collate the necessary proof to elucidate the details of the crime.

Subsequently, the three suspects were apprehended, and a search of their homes uncovered incriminating evidence implicating them in the robbery. Among the recovered items were balaclavas, dark clothing, gloves, glasses, a firearm, cartridges, a knife, and a portion of the stolen cash and items from the safe.

The detained individuals, along with the evidence and relevant reports, have been handed over to the Courts of Granadilla de Abona and the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife for legal proceedings.
