The Enmedio volcano between Tenerife and Gran Canaria trembles again

The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has reported that they have registered two earthquakes of 3.4 magnitude on the Richter scale from the so-called Enmedio volcano, which is located between the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, this morning (Monday).

According to their readings, the IGN says that the first tremor was located at a depth of just five kilometres below the sea bed at 11:10 am today.

Then, less than a minute later, another earthquake of the same magnitude took place in the same location, but this time at a depth of 9 kilometres deep.

Neither were felt by the general population, but this is the second time in less than a week that there have been tremors higher than 3 on the Richter scale detected in this specific area.
