Spring brings the first snow of year to Mt Teide

The presence of a DANA in the Canary Islands has brought snow to Mt Teide, even though Spring officially began on Wednesday, March 20^th. This is the first snow on Teide this year and highlights the diverse weather the islands can experience.

At the beginning of the week, there were pre-alerts for forest fires, then the Met Office activated weather warnings for rain, winds, and storms (which are still in force today), and today we have snow!
