VIDEO: Souvenir shop in Los Cristianos destroyed by overnight fire
A fire that broke out overnight on Wednesday has severely damaged a souvenir shop on the seafront of Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife. The blaze destroyed much of the shop’s stock and left the interior almost completely burnt out.
The business is located next to Burger King and directly opposite Los Cristianos beach, one of the busiest areas in the resort.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. The incident occurred during the early hours of the morning and resulted in significant material damage, as shown in videos and photos shared on social media.
One Facebook user, Pan Patryk, posted a video capturing the aftermath, showing the charred remains of the shop. He accompanied the footage with the message: “A sad morning for Los Cristianos,” which has since been widely shared by local residents and workers.
At this stage, there are no reports of injuries. Authorities are expected to assess the damage and investigate the origin of the fire in the coming hours.
