Six arrested as police dismantle crime gang targeting businesses in south Tenerife
The National Police have dismantled a criminal gang responsible for a wave of burglaries and thefts in commercial premises and tourist resorts across Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife.
In the last few months, officers have arrested six people believed to be involved in multiple robberies, with three new arrests made this week. Following their appearance before the courts, five of the six detainees have been remanded in custody.
According to police sources, the group had been active over the past three months, carrying out a string of break-ins and thefts that had left local shop owners and accommodation providers on edge.
Thanks to coordinated police efforts, the criminal activity has now been brought to an end, restoring calm to the area’s tourism and retail sectors.
