Serious accident on TF-1 motorway near the South Airport leaves two men injured
An accident involving two vehicles at around 11:00pm on Monday night on the northbound carriageway of the TF-1 motorway in Granadilla, near the Tenerife South Airport, left two men seriously injured, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES).
According to CECOES, a 54-year-old man was taken to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias for urgent medical treatment with severe injuries. The second victim, a 53-year-old man, sustained multiple moderate injuries and was admitted to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.
The emergency services responded quickly when they received an alert informing them of the accident, and secured the area to prevent further incidents.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation as the police work to determine the circumstances that led to this serious incident, with motorway and airport CCTV footage being studied by investigators.
