The emergency rescue services in Tenerife are looking for a man who fell into the sea earlier this morning (Tuesday) in the area of Las Eras on the east coast of the island.
The man, reported to be a fisherman, was swept into the water under circumstances that are yet to be clarified.
Responding swiftly to the emergency, teams from the Canary Islands Maritime Rescue Service, the Guardia Civil, and the Local Police have launched a coordinated search operation to locate him.
Efforts to find the missing man are ongoing, with authorities utilising various resources to scour the area. Local residents have been advised to stay clear of the search zones to ensure rescue operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently, and away from the coast as there are active weather warnings for dangerous coastal conditions.
Updates on the situation are expected as the search continues throughout the day.
