Mystery crash leaves car stuck on a wall
A photograph that circulated widely on WhatsApp and other messaging platforms yesterday afternoon (Monday) has left many people in Tenerife scratching their heads. It shows a BMW precariously perched on top of a concrete block in Puerto de la Cruz, in an area known locally as El Pulpo de Las Cabezas.
The vehicle ended up literally resting on the wall, with its front wheels suspended in the air and the chassis balanced on the block.
The unusual sight quickly went viral, with many asking the same question: how did the car get there?
Local residents told reporters that the spot has recently become an informal place where drivers leave their vehicles, raising concerns that it poses a safety hazard.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, but the bizarre position of the car has made it one of the most shared images in Tenerife this week.
This is not the first time that Tenerife has seen strange or eye-catching traffic accidents go viral. In recent months, photos of overturned vehicles on busy roads, cars stranded on pavements, and even a van wedged against a wall in the south of the island have all circulated widely online.
