Two multi-vehicle accidents caused significant traffic disruptions on the TF-1 motorway today (Tuesday), one near Radazul, in the municipality of El Rosario, that left three people injured, and another in the south by Parque La Reina according to updated information from the emergency services (112).
SUC medical personnel responded to the incident, providing initial care to three women at the accident near Radazul. One suffered moderate trauma and was taken to hospital, while two others had minor injuries and were also transported to medical facilities on the island.
The accident, which involved at least three vehicles traveling southbound, caused long traffic jams extending along the TF-1 highway, reaching as far as Hoya Fría, and also affected the TF-2, the main interconnecting road, with backups reported near Tíncer.
The second incident also involved three cars on the southbound carriageway at around 9:45am which caused major traffic delays towards Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, with cars backed up for several kilometres past the junction for Las Chafiras and San Miguel.
The Tenerife Fire Department and the Guardia Civil, were dispatched to the scene of both accidents to manage the situation, assist those involved, and clear the roads. Drivers were advised to exercise caution due to the extended delays in the affected areas.
The exact cause of the collisions and further details regarding the victims are still under investigation.
