Motorcyclist injured in early morning collision with car on the TF-1 in south Tenerife
A motorcyclist was injured in the early hours of this morning (Thursday) following a collision with a car on the TF-1 motorway as it passes through the municipality of Adeje. The incident occurred at kilometre 80 of the southbound carriageway at approximately 4:30am, according to information provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES).
The alert was raised by callers reporting a crash involving a motorbike and a vehicle, with the motorcyclist lying injured on the road and in need of immediate assistance.
CECOES 112 quickly activated the necessary emergency resources, including a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), the Guardia Civil, and road maintenance crews.
Upon arrival, SUC medical personnel assessed the rider, a man who had sustained multiple moderate traumatic injuries as a result of the impact. After receiving stabilisation and first aid at the scene, he was transferred by ambulance to Hospital del Sur, where he remains under medical evaluation.
Guardia Civil officers took charge of traffic control and gathered information to determine the circumstances of the collision. While the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, officers recorded the necessary reports and ensured the safety of the scene.
A road maintenance crew also attended, working to clear debris from the roadway and ensure the TF-1 could be reopened to traffic as normal. Temporary delays were reported in the area during the clean-up operation.
The TF-1, one of the busiest motorways in Tenerife, has seen several early-morning incidents in recent months, prompting authorities to continue reminding drivers to exercise caution, especially during nighttime and pre-dawn hours when visibility and alertness may be reduced.
