A motorcyclist is in a critical condition following a serious accident this afternoon, Saturday, on the TF-51 road in the municipality of Vilaflor, Tenerife.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30p.m., as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES).
CECOES received the alert from the 112 emergency operations room, prompting the immediate deployment of the necessary resources to the location given.
Paramedics initially treated the injured man using a basic life support ambulance, who was found to be suffering from severe multiple injuries (polytrauma).
A second, advanced life support ambulance then arrived to provide further stabilisation before the victim was able to be transported to Hospital del Sur where he was admitted in a critical condition for urgent treatment.
The Guardia Civil also attended the scene to manage traffic flow and document the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the accident, but investigations are ongoing. Traffic was affected temporarily while emergency teams worked at the scene.
