Drivers travelling on the TF-1 motorway near Las Chafiras should prepare for more night-time traffic disruptions starting this Sunday, as part of ongoing construction work to add a third lane.
The closures will take place between 9:00pm and 6:00am each night, from Sunday, 29th June until Friday, 4th July, and will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will affect the southbound lanes heading toward Adeje, and later in the week, closures will impact the northbound lanes in the direction of Santa Cruz.
During these closures, traffic will be diverted through the interior of the Las Chafiras industrial area, specifically between exits 62 and 64. The Canary Islands Department of Public Works has advised all drivers to exercise caution, follow posted signs, and adhere to the instructions of on-site personnel.
The night-time works will include safety barrier installation, new road markings, and signage improvements, all essential to the restoration and upgrade of the main TF-1 carriageway.
Authorities have recommended that anyone travelling through the area at night, particularly those heading to or from the south of Tenerife for flights or shift work, allow for additional travel time during this period.
