Man arrested for assaulting and robbing a Lottery ticket seller in Tenerife

The Guardia Civil has arrested a 24-year-old man on charges of assaulting and robbing a lottery ticket seller, stealing lottery tickets worth over 360 euros. Additionally, the same man is suspected of shoplifting various items from a grocery store in Tacoronte.

According to the police, just days before the assault on the lottery vendor, the detainee had stolen various items from a shop and had attempted a similar act at another business. However, his criminal endeavours were thwarted when a member of the public caught him in the act and immediately alerted the police.

Thanks to the information provided by the witness, the Guardia Civil launched an investigation and gathered sufficient evidence to locate, identify, and arrest the man for all three criminal incidents, as stated in a police press release.

The detainee, along with the necessary legal proceedings, has been handed over to judicial authorities for further action.
