Man arrested for armed robbery in Los Cristianos

A 47-year-old man has been arrested by the Local Police in the south of Tenerife for intimidation and armed robbery at a minimarket in Los Cristianos.

The police report states that at 9:30pm on Wednesday night (December 6th) the man attacked the female sales assistant at the store with a large knife, inflicting various injuries, before getting away with just 250 euros.

Thanks to a detailed description of the assailant, and prompt collaboration from members of the public, the police successfully located and arrested a suspect.

The injured shop assistant was promptly treated and then taken to Mojón Hospital for further medical attention. As of now, no updates on her current condition have been provided. Following the necessary procedures, the detainee will now face legal proceedings.
