Man and 4-year-old boy injured in car accident in South Tenerife

A 40-year-old man and a four-year-old boy were injured last night (Sunday) after their car crashed into a post on the TF-645 road in Granadilla, Tenerife.

The accident happened at around 9:45 pm, according to the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES 1-1-2), which received the alert and dispatched emergency services to the roadside.

Paramedics treated both of them; the man suffered moderate injuries, including trauma to his lower limb, while the young boy sustained minor injuries.

Both were taken by ambulance to the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for further treatment.

Firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Consortium also attended the incident and assisted other emergency teams. Meanwhile, officers from the Guardia Civil and Local Police managed traffic in the area and carried out the necessary accident report.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are not yet clear.
