Loro Parque Foundation to host grand charity dinner for 30th Anniversary

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Loro Parque Fundación will host a prestigious charity dinner on September 11th, 2024, which will take place in the scenic gardens of the Hotel Botánico & The Oriental Spa Garden in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, to raise funds for vital biodiversity conservation projects.

The proceeds from the dinner will support CanBio, an initiative dedicated to protecting threatened species in the Canary Islands and their habitats. CanBio encompasses eight key projects focused on addressing environmental challenges, including climate change, ocean acidification, and marine noise pollution. The initiative also involves monitoring the impact of these factors on Canary Islands' biodiversity and studying the habitats of critically endangered species.

Christoph Kiessling, president of Loro Parque Fundación, emphasised the urgency of the cause, stating, “With this dinner, we aim to gather nature enthusiasts whose contributions will help combat the severe environmental degradation caused by human actions.”

He further highlighted the critical need for support from donors and sponsors, noting, “Every bit helps. We are in a global emergency scenario where implementing these actions has never been more crucial, but we cannot do it alone.”

The charity dinner represents a significant opportunity for individuals and organisations to contribute to crucial conservation efforts while celebrating three decades of Loro Parque Fundación’s commitment to wildlife protection and environmental sustainability.

Loro Parque Fundación has its donor portal for all those who wish to make a contribution on its website.
