In a startling incident on the northern carriageway of the TF-1 motorway heading towards Santa Cruz, near the municipality of Candelaria, a driver joined the highway going in the wrong direction, behaving like a kamikaze.
The incident sparked panic among other drivers who witnessed the scene, as the Guardia Civil began pursuing the driver with several patrol cars against the flow of traffic, ultimately managing to stop the car and apprehend the driver.
According to the police report, there were no injuries resulting from the incident, however, the kamikaze driver has been arrested by the police, who will initiate an investigation into the matter.
The Guardia Civil emphasises that such reckless actions endanger not only the life of the kamikaze driver but also pose a significant risk to the safety of other road users, and the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and ensuring public safety on the roads.
