Holidaymaker rescued with symptoms of drowning in the south of Tenerife
A 58-year-old woman is being treated in hospital after experiencing a near-drowning incident at Las Vistas Beach in Los Cristianos, in the south of Tenerife.
The incident occurred shortly after 11:45am yesterday (Friday) when the Canary Islands Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert reporting that a woman had been pulled from the water showing signs of drowning.
SUC medical personnel were first on the scene and attended to the Czech holidaymaker, stabilising her before she was transported to Hospiten Sur for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the local police have taken charge of the investigation.
