A hiker needed to be rescued after sustaining injuries from a fall in the Los Silos ravine located in Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency Services Coordination Centre (Cecoes) yesterday.
The GES helicopter was dispatched to the location given, where rescuers descended from the aircraft to reach the injured man. They successfully managed to strap him to a stretcher and airlift him onto the helicopter before flying him to the La Guancha helipad.
There, SUC medical personnel were waiting for his arrival and treated him for a serious leg injury before transporting him by ambulance to the North Hospital for further treatment.
