Four staff arrested for selling drugs in a restaurant in the south of Tenerife

The National Police have arrested four people charged with selling narcotics at a restaurant in Arona, in the south of Tenerife. The restaurant’s manager, who has a previous record for drug trafficking, was among those detained.

The investigation, which spanned a year, concluded with a raid on the restaurant. Officers seized approximately six kilograms of hashish, 200 grams of cocaine, seven grams of marijuana, 27,000 euros in cash, 910 pounds sterling, a machete, an extendable baton, and pepper spray.

The detainees, four men of Spanish and Moroccan nationality, were allegedly using the legitimate operations of the restaurant as a front for their illicit drug sales. Two of those arrested have previous records for drug trafficking.

All four men have been charged and have been brought before the judicial authorities, where the judge ordered the imprisonment of one of the suspects.

The National Police continue to urge the public to report any suspicious activities to help maintain the safety and security of the community.
