Four injured in accident in taxi that ended up on its roof in Tenerife

Four people have been injured this morning (Friday) when a taxi collided with another car in Puerto de La Cruz and ended up on its roof. The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received a call at 8.15am informing them of the accident at the crossroads on Calle Hermanos Hernández Perdigón.

CECOES immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to the scene of the accident, where SUC paramedics treated the four injured people, the 58-year-old taxi driver who has a neck injury, and two women and a child who escaped with cuts and bruises, but were suffering from shock.

After making sure that all were ok to travel, they transferred all four to Hospiten Bellevue by ambulance for further treatment and routine observation.

According to CECOES, no one else was injured in the accident and after securing the taxi, firemen cleared the road and the Local Police instructed the corresponding proceedings including an inquest into the cause of the accident.
