A 22-year-old female motorcyclist was injured yesterday (Monday) after crashing into a lorry in Costa Adeje in the south of Tenerife. The Emergency Services Coordination Centre (CECOES) received an alert just before midday informing them of the accident on Calle La Atalaya in Playa Paraíso.
CECOES sent the necessary emergency resources to the location given and SUC medical personnel were the first at the scene, and treated the injured motorcyclist on the side of the road before taking him to Candelaria Hospital by ambulance.
The Fire Brigade also assisted with the emergency response and made sur the vehicles were safe before they could be removed, whilst the Guardia Civil controlled the traffic, and then Highway Maintenance cleared the road so that normal traffic flow could be restored.
The Guardia Civil have opened an investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
